So, my
bff from work has a mini chicken farm and gave me some homegrown eggs to try out. Apparently some people are scared of homegrown eggs but let me tell you what I'm not scared of: free. So, I took them. And used them to make something, I forget what. Brownies maybe? No. Lasagna rolls. Yummmmmm.
Anyway, I picked the largest one, cracked it open, and discovered I had twins! Two yolks! I was so excited that I took a picture.
I named them Tia and Tamera.
And then I used both of them.

My first batch of homegrown eggs.

The speckled ones are my favorite. They make me happy.

haha love that you named them...
I get these too! They are not free for me. Boo! I have to pay $5 a week at the Farmer's Market for my eggs, but they are so good and organic and all that... and I buy into that stuff so it's worth it. I have not gotten twins yet. Maybe someday. lol
YAAAAY! I'm glad they were good, and you didn't tell me you NAMED them! Now I'm scared to give you any more! J/k! :)
Kourtni- $5???????? OMG!!!! I need to quit my job and start selling eggs!!! I give them all away FREE for now! Ugh!
My chickens feel famous now. They are on your blog!!!
Sista...SISTA!
i am not skerred of the homegrown eggs. but i think i'd feel the sads eating ones i named. but maybe not if they were named after sister sister though, because that makes them rad, not so much cute sweet babies. i think i'd be sads if they were named fluffy and muffin or something though.
The yolk is by far my favourite part of the egg, so double yolk sounds like an eggy dream come true!
Ha, twins! I just recently got twins from my chickens, I was so shocked, too! But I didn't name mine, just cooked them!
Those are the "Sister to Sister" twins right? (that was the name of the show I think).
YAY for free eggs!!!
i'm not scared of free either. I AM scared of premie chickens in my face.
Haha so funny, It's hilarious that you named them.
